(ABC News) -- A middle-aged man was found dead shortly after 12 p.m. today at the Jupiter, Fla., home of “Grease” star Olivia Newton-John, police said.
Jupiter Police spokesman Scott Pascarella told ABC News the cause of death and the 42-year-old man’s name will not be released until after the autopsy Tuesday morning, but that he did suffer from a gunshot wound.
Pascarella said somebody discovered the body at the residence this afternoon and it was that of a contractor hired by the homeowners.
Newton-John, 64, and her husband John Easterling were not present at the time of the death, police said. Also, the man is not related to the residents nor does he live in the home.
This isn’t the first tragic incident the four-time Grammy winner has had to deal with in 2013. Newton-John’s older sister, Rona Newton-John, died in May from a brain tumor.
“I will miss her forever — my beautiful, smart, talented, funny, brave sister Rona,” she wrote on her Facebook page after the loss.
