LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) - - It started 26 years ago in a Valley Station, Ky. neighborhood with a young boy who had a love for movies of all genres. A passion to entertain and make others laugh, a will to be, a boy to like and most of all a modern day man with a passion for film.
Many know him throughout his community and now across the globe as Jason Saint. And for Saint, it started on a whim in high school theater at Pleasure Ridge Park High School in Louisville as a freshman. Just 14 years-old, a spark for life and hand full’s of charisma, the teenager made a dream become reality. Saint says "It always shocks me when people know who I am, especially when they're able to quote me from films and stuff that I've done."
Since his break in theater he decided to take his talent, skill and knowledge to the film industry. To date you can see Saint in more than 20 movies including the hit Walt Disney picture Secretariat and other movies like, Dead Moon Rising, Endless Bummer, Ultimate Death Match 3, Hell House, and The Superhero.
The funny man has taken a stand in the independent film industry. He has written and directed movies such as, Welcome Back, The Last Summer and his newest creation that is set to be released on DVD in 2013, Single White Males which has a special appearance by World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Famer "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who plays Saint’s father.
The Last Summer has sold over 2,000 copies worldwide and has sold out at every film convention it's been featured at. The Last Summer has been called "great" by SLC Punk director James Merendino, who is the reason Saint got involved in film. Current World Wrestling Entertainment Superstar Dolph Ziggler called the film "heel approved".
Aside from the film industry you can see Saint Featured on TruTV’s "Top 20 Most Shocking" and "Clipaholics". He also has been known to do stand-up comedy and has performed at the Bluegrass Arts Experience and other comedy clubs known across the nation.
Saint says "I'd be stoked to make it as an actor or director, not just because it would clear any financial problems I might have, but also because it would be great to show people that it doesn't matter where you come from. If you stop saying 'I will' and start saying 'I am', you're going to accomplish anything you want to."
Saint is currently filming The Zombie Movie, where he plays a flamboyant hairstylist named Fenix. That movie is set to be released in October.
