(ABC News) -- Justin Bieber has had another run-in with the law.
The singer, 20, was arrested on Aug. 29 in his native Canada, officials said today.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police, Bieber allegedly collided with a minivan while driving an all terrain vehicle. He was charged with dangerous driving and assault.
The authorities added that Bieber was released shortly thereafter and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on Sept. 29.
A rep for Bieber did not immediately respond to a request for comment, however, the singer was photographed that day riding on an ATV with his off-again, on-again girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
It would seem the performer managed to have a decent weekend in spite of the charges. The following day he posted a photo of an idyllic scene on Instagram.
"They try and get in the way of this." he wrote.
