(WHAS11) -- Louisville native Jennifer Lawrence is facing some backlash over what she said about PETA.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the actress talked about a squirrel-skinning scene in the 2010 movie "Winter's Bone."
She told the magazine quote "I should say it wasn't real, for PETA. But screw PETA."
PETA responded saying it hopes she'll make up for any pain that she might have caused any animal.
It does not sound as if Lawrence plans to do that anytime soon. She told Rolling Stone she is thinking about buying a house, a big dog, and shotgun.
