LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- From Louisville to Hollywood. Actress and Louisville native Jennifer Lawrence is one of the front runners for an Academy Award in February.

And before she walks the red carpet for Tinseltown’s biggest night she talked to us and dished about Hollywood, what she loves to do back here in town and her guilty pleasure.

“We've just been having fun with it. I mean obviously it’s terrifying when you think you are going to win or lose but I am just trying to have fun with it,” Lawrence said.

She talked about how it's different being nominated this time for “Silver Linings Playbook” versus when she was nominated two years ago for “Winter's Bone”.

“It's all scary because the first time was my introduction into the industry and it was pretty terrifying and then this time I know more people and its more comfortable and it's also the sheer idea of being nominated twice is unbelievable,” Lawrence said.

She says all the actors are friends and the winners are just for TV. But she knows what a big deal the Oscars are. She hopes to take her parents and brothers with her this year.

Even though she's joked about wearing sweat pants to the big show she says she will try to wear something high fashion yet comfortable.

“I have a few ideas. I have gotten some sketches from Dior and they are being made right now. Hopefully I will know in the next couple of weeks,” Lawrence said.

She's said she doesn't write acceptance speeches and her plan after the Oscars is the simple.

“I normally just leave as soon as the show is over and just kind of go home and party with my friends at my house,” Lawrence said.

Something else she may be doing after the show taking part in one of her guilty pleasures.

“I love reality TV because it is the only thing I can actually lose myself in because I can convince myself it’s real,” Lawrence said.

Lawrence said she loves coming back home to Louisville to just relax at her family farm and ride horses and fish with her brothers.  She’s teaming up with her “Silver Linings Playbook” co-star Bradley Cooper again or a movie called "Serena" where she’ll play his wife.

You can see if Lawrence takes home the Oscar right here on WHAS11 and ABC on Feb. 24 at 7 p.m.
