Louisville, KY. – The Kentucky Derby Festival is pleased to announce its national concert lineup for Kroger’s Fest-A-Ville on the Waterfront for the 2013 Derby Festival.
Pop-rock-country music star Uncle Kracker will kick off the festivities with the Sonic Saturday show on Saturday, April 27. Runners with a finisher’s medal from that day’s KDF Marathon/miniMarathon presented by Walmart and HumanaVitality will receive free entry into the venue.
On April 28, Family Sunday will feature a full slate of Christian music acts. The show will begin at 5 p.m. featuring headliner Building 429 with Rhett Walker Band and Finding Favour.
After topping the R&B charts for more than a decade and selling more than 17 million albums, Cameo will be featured on Tuesday, April 30, at the RhythmFest concert. Cameo is well known for their hit song “Word Up.”
On Wild Wednesday, May 1, The Features, along with special guest, Discount Guns, will take the stage beginning at 7 p.m.
Tune It Up Thursday on May 2 will feature The Wallflowers. This group is well known for chart-topping songs such as “One Headlight,” “6th Avenue Heartache” and “Everything I Need.” This concert will begin at 9 p.m.
A Kix Brooks will headline The Kentucky Derby Festival Derby Eve Jam concert, scheduled for 8:30 p.m. May 3.
April 25, Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville at Waterfront Park opens April 25 and runs through May 3. The venue will once again be located at Waterfront Park. The Fest-A-Ville is open weekdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Admission is a 2013 Pegasus Pin.
