Danny Glover honored by Kentucky Center for African American Heritage

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Actor Danny Glover is was in Louisville to celebrate the Derby and to be honored by the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage.

Glover is well known for status as an A-list movie star in movies such as Lethal Weapon, but he's also a humanitarian and political activist.

He was honored by the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage and was given the year's lifetime achievement award.

All of the proceeds from the event go to the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage and the project to preserve african american turf history.
