(ABC News) - It's the new cutting edge music competition with a twist.
ABC's "Rising Star" pitts contestants against this daunting three story digital wall as they perform, and their fate is decided live.
It has all the trappings of a reality competition except for one key difference: you.
Here's how it works. Viewers use the "Rising Star" app to vote in real time whether to keep or cut contestants.
Swipe right for yes, swipe left for no. It's that simple.
Rapper ludacris, pop sensation Kesha and country star Brad Paisley join host Josh Groban as the show's experts. They get a vote too.
A singer needs 70 percent of the votes to move the wall and go on to the next round.
No more waiting around for the results. Forget overnight success. This is instant.
Dreams made or shattered on live TV. Talk about nerve-wracking.
Tune in for the premiere on WHAS11 at 9 p.m. and judge for youself . . . literally.
