Celebrity scoop: Billie Joe headed to rehab
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Clint Eastwood says his speech at the Republican National Convention didn't get the response that he wanted, because he was hoping they'd nominate him for president at the end. Eastwood joked about the speech while promoting his movie "Trouble With the Curve," which opens today. If he had to do it over, he says he doubts he would bring a chair out to represent President Obama. He says he thought of it "5 seconds" before he went on stage. He also says he'd prepare a speech instead of winging it. He admits that when he went on stage and saw thousands of people cheering for him, his mind "went blank."
