NEW YORK (AP) -- Keith Urban will likely err to the side of compassion as an "American Idol" judge. That's because he auditioned for a singing competition as a 9-year-old, and one judge destroyed him. Urban says the judge told him to get out of that country "nonsense" and into some real music. He obviously took the critique to heart. As for the new ladies on the judges panel, Mariah Carey shot down rumors of a feud with Nicki Minaj, saying they've only been together two days and "a feud takes a little longer to happen." The new season premieres in January.
