MICHAEL STRAHAN: TO HUDDLE UP ON "LIVE?"
UNDATED (AP) -- Is ABC about to hand off the job of "Live!" co-host to a former football star? Looks like it. Sources say former NFL star Michael Strahan (STRAY'-han) is in talks to be named co-host of "Live!" beside Kelly Ripa. Strahan is currently a co-host on "Fox NFL Sunday" -- but a source says he's in talks to be the permanent replacement for Regis Philbin, who left the show last November. Meanwhile, Broadcasting and Cable is reporting that ABC is expected to announce him the new co-host early next month. Strahan has been on the show as a fill-in at times since Philbin left. And on Monday, ABC said one of those co-hosts will be named to take over the job for good in September.
