KATIE COURIC SINGS BACKUP FOR JIMMY BUFFETT
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (AP) -- Jimmy Buffett's newest backup singer might look familiar: it's Katie Couric. She joined him for several songs during his set Tuesday outside Indianapolis. Couric tells WRTV-TV she thought it would be a fun "little fling." Buffett says Couric can sing and this "could be a career-starting move" for her. It's not going to be a long career, at least not now. Couric will start her new daytime talk show on September 10.
