SLIPKNOT GUITARIST HAS BURST APPENDIX

UNDATED (AP) -- Slipknot now know why guitarist Jim Root hasn't been himself lately. His appendix burst and he didn't know it. Slipknot say on their website Root has been seriously sick for the past two weeks and went to a hospital last week. Doctors told him his appendix burst a couple of weeks earlier and that could have threatened his life. Root is awaiting surgery to have pieces of his appendix removed. Slipknot plan to continue their tour but will welcome Root back when he's able to perform again.
