DIERKS BENTLEY'S LOSES HIS FATHER

UNDATED (AP) -- Dierks Bentley is taking some time off following the death of his father. Leon Bentley died Friday in Phoenix. He was 88. His son confirmed the death in a Twitter message Saturday morning. Bentely said "it was an honor to comfort him as he left us" and thanked fans for "the time and understanding." A private memorial service is being scheduled. Bentley cancelled several shows but will be back on stage Saturday in Detroit. And he plays LP Field in Nashville Sunday as part of the CMA Music Festival.
