UNDATED (AP) -- Eric Church is apologizing for comments he made to Rolling Stone, bashing reality music shows and the artists appearing on them. He told the magazine that he would "never make that mistake" of being a reality-show judge, saying he would rather starve. Blake Shelton tweeted a link to the story, saying as a judge on "The Voice," he wishes he misunderstood it. Miranda Lambert not only took offense for her husband, but early on she competed on the show "Nashville Star." Lambert tweeted "thanks Eric Church" for saying she's not a real artist, or Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. Church apologized in a statement to anyone he offended, especially the artists who've done those shows, saying he did not mean for his comments to undermine their talent and achievements. Church says he just wanted to shed light on the fact that these shows give people an unrealistic understanding of what it takes to be a real recording artist. He says "the real obstacles come after the cameras stop rolling."
