MARY J. BLIGE: BURGER KING PULLS AD
NEW YORK (AP) -- Fast food tends not to keep well. And, apparently, neither do fast food ads -- at least the one featuring Mary J. Blige belting out the ingredients of a new Burger King chicken wrap. The ad has been pulled -- the day after it made its debut. The fast-food chain blames music licensing issues for the decision. But the ad was criticized by some blacks, who said it was stereotypical. Burger King says the Mary J. ads will return -- but isn't saying whether they will be tweaked before they come back.
