CORYDON, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Shoes, shoes, everywhere you go shoes at Corydon Central High School the shoes are piling up.

You will see every conceivable kind of shoe that can be found in the classrooms - some are even hanging in the hallways.

Why all these shoes? Last fall students at Corydon Central we're told the story of Rachel Joy Scott, a student killed at Columbine High School. They were told about her family's foundation that is dedicated to spreading kindness and compassion.

That day in Corydon a stunning number of students signed up to do the same. Now, those students are turning those pledges into actions.
