After midnight our next wintry system will bring precipitation to the area. Most of the precipitation will be in the form of light rain, however some pockets of sleet/snow will be possible. Accumulation is not expect as temperatures will stay above freezing. If any accumulations due occur, they will be light and short-lived - quickly melting. This system will taper off early Wednesday afternoon. So, this little storm will be more of a nuisance, and not a big problem with just wet roads Wednesday morning. Check out the total possible "short-lived" snowfall amounts on the bottom Futurecast map. The best chances for some light accumulations will be for areas along and south of the Bluegrass Parkway to southeastern Kentucky.
