Snow chances are returning for our Tuesday morning commute.  Like last Friday, it's terrible timing.  The steadiest snow will likely be during the peak of the morning drive, from 7-9am.

I've got 5 different weather models loaded up below with their snowfall total forecast.  Only light amounts are expected (Mostly around 1").  But, as we've seen, just a little snow sticking on the pavement will cause problems - and possibly school delays and cancellations.

The first two maps are from our higher resolution (4km) RPM weather model.  Notice, the snow just reaching the Ohio River/I-64 around 6am, with light accumulations already in Indiana.  By 10am, almost an inch has accumulated in the Louisville Metro area.

The last four maps in order are the RPM (12km - lower resolution), NAM, GFS, and EURO weather models - all calling for around 1" total by mid-late morning Tuesday.  Locally, up to 2" possible.

Once the snow is done be ready for blustery and very cold conditions - wind chills near zero Tuesday afternoon!
