A disturbance will be slamming into unstable air over Kentuckiana late this afternoon and early evening firing up more showers and thunderstorms.  Any storm this time of year can put down some very heavy rain and produce dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning.  But, a few storms today could also be capable of damaging winds and hail.  Areas along and north of I-64 are under a Slight Risk of Severe Storms.

Follow along with the maps below, and you can see Indiana looks to have the better chance of storms popping up.  The first map shows conditions will be fairly quiet through mid-afternoon.

The next map shows the storms firing up first in S. Indiana after 3pm.

The third map shows the scattered showers and storms moving south to the Ohio River and I-64 around the evening commute.

The last map shows the thunderstorm activity diminishing after sunset.

The 7day below features a dry pattern starting tomorrow and a big warm-up for our first official summer weekend!
