Winter Storm Watch Thursday
- 3 to 6" Louisville - North
- 1 to 3" South of Jefferson Co, KY (rain/snow mix far south before changing to snow)
Timing for Metro
- 2 am: Flurries
- Mid-Late Morning: Steady Light Snow
- 1-5 pm: Periods of Moderate/Heavy Snow
- Snow Ending by Midnight
The model of choice is the GFS because it has shown the most consistency over the past couple of days. The latest run is showing a heavier band of snow over south central IN (+6"). I need to see one more run with the heavier snow before I add it to the forecast. We will also need to watch the track of this Winter Storm... A track farther north would mean less snow for the Metro.
