The next strong cold front will move through during the overnight hours early Friday morning. Strong winds will be the main threat.
Follow along with our Futurecast (RPM) maps below. The line of storms will likely be moving into our western viewing area around midnight. The next map shows the storms over I-65 and Metro Louisville between 2-4 am. The last Futurecast maps show the storms moving out of our area by around sunrise Friday morning.
Thankfully, this will leave us with a sunny and dry weekend, but it will be significantly cooler. Temperatures Friday will be dropping through the 50s. Notice the Thunder Over Louisville forecast with 40s in the morning, 50s in the afternoon, and just near 50 for the fireworks. Bring the blankets and warm jackets! We're back to the 60s-70s Sunday through early next week. -Ben Pine
