April 23rd is looking more like February 23rd of much of the Northeast. Parts of western Pennsylvania and New York are picking up some heavy wet snow today. Take a look at the pictures from the Associated Press. Above a 3-year-old is dodging mom's snowball. Below a view of the winter wonderland which closed many schools today.
Many areas are expected to pick up over 6" of snowfall. Higher elevations could see up to a foot of snowfall. Trees are being damage by the weight of the wet snowf accumulating on leaves.
Our area is on the dry side of this system, only experiencing cool and gusty conditions. The air you feel rushing by you is blowing right into the storm over the Northeast.
