After a soggy September, October isn't starting off any drier. A low pressure system is moving up from the Gulf coast, and there is plenty of moisture with it. Light rain is already starting to fall across southern counties and will continue to move north. Here is a look at where the low is expected by this afternoon.
Light to moderate rain will continue this afternoon with a few storms possible. The low will move over the area on Tuesday with more scattered showers and a couple of thunderstorms.
The low will be slow to depart on Wednesday with a few lingering showers early (mainly north of the river) then gradually clearing out in the afternoon
Looks like the entire area will get a decent amount of rain. Areas along and north of the river could pick up around 1" of rain with higher amounts south (up to 2").
