Many of us enjoy abnormally warm weather in the winter, but we often get penalized with strong storms later on. Temperatures will be near 70 Thursday, and this help make the air a bit unstable, mainly over Kentucky. Below is the area under a Slight Risk from the Storm Prediction Center. Basically, areas south of the Ohio River will need to watch for a few strong or severe storms late tomorrow, mainly after 6pm. The main storm threats will be damaging wind gusts, lightning, and hail.

The map below shows the heavier precipitation concentrated over Kentucky. The cold front helping to boost up the strong storms, will drop temperatures by about 20 degrees on Friday. Even a few flurries possible Friday.
