LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The roof is partially blown off at the Crowne Plaza Hotel that is located in the 800 block of Phillips Lane.
The roof was partially blown off during some of the severe weather that moved through Kentuckiana Thursday night. Parts of the the roof was scattered throughout the parking lot of the hotel.
Dozens of vehicles parked in the hotel's parking lot were damaged from the roof debris. The winds also shook the building so much that the sprinkler system was triggered and water damage forced many guests out.
In all, about 200 rooms were damaged with water. Guests who were staying in the top four floors have been moved to the Galt House. No one was injured.
