It has been a soggy Derby weekend with some spots picking up between 3-4" of rain since Friday!
An upper level low pressure system has been responsible for the gloomy weather the past few days. Moisture continues to stream in from the Atlantic and this will keep rain chances around for the start of the week.
Occasional rain showers and some drizzle possible tomorrow. We aren't looking at a washout, just have the umbrella handy before you head out the door.
It looks mainly dry Tuesday morning with a few more showers popping up in the afternoon. At least the temperatures will continue to climb with low 70s in the afternoon.
Wednesday will be mainly dry with isolated showers or storms possible in the afternoon mainly east of I-65. Most of the area will stay dry with temperatures in the upper 70s.
Looking ahead to Mother's Day weekend...a front will bring the chance for showers and storms. The best chance for rain will arrive Friday and Saturday. Sunday is still up in the air with some models drying us out and others keeping the rain around. Stay tuned!
