From July 3rd to yesterday (August 19th) our average high has been 89 degrees, with an average low of 69. But today, the average high has dropped to 88, and the average low 68!
We continue the very slow decrease in average temperatures through December and January when the average high drops to 43, and the average low 27 - the dead of winter. January 26th is when we start to cheer on the average temperature climb once again.
Even though the "average" or "normal" temperature may be going down, don't let that fool you. We can still get very hot through September. Last year, the first three days of September were 100+. We have had record highs at 100 or above through September 14th. October 15th is our last day with record highs at 90 or above.
