Here's a look ahead through next week. This is an early look, so remember some of these details will likely change change, but this is what the pattern is showing us now.
The first part of next week will features temperatures in the 70s and mainly dry conditions. A storm system will be brewing out to our west and will likely be moving through midweek (Wednesday-Thursday timeframe). You can see that with the first map below.
You can also see how the jet stream take a big dip. In that trough is often where we find storms. This matches up very well with the stormy weather at the surface during the same time.
Once the trough moves east we could have a brief cool-down on Friday (12th) of next week, before warming right back up. Notice the contrast of the two temperature weather maps below. The first one shows Friday's cool-down, the next shows the next big warm-up. One long-range weather model even put out 80+ temperature potential around the 17th-18th of April!
