Many areas will pick up a much needed 1/4" to 3/4" of rainfall today. The cold front will move east this evening and we'll have mainly dry weather tomorrow and Thursday. Showers return late Thurday and a front will stall out over Kentuckiana through the weekend and possibly through next Tuesday. The total rainfall forecast through Sunday morning is below, showing 1-3" of rainfall around the area with lots of rain expected over the eastern US.
The next map shows some of the showers around on Friday.

The final map shows the potential of a bigger storm, with bigger rain chances, and unfortunately the possibility of strong storms next Tuesday. We'll be watching this active weather pattern very closely.

This pattern certainly looks more like spring, than winter with temperatures mostly in the 60s during this time.
