A quickly-moving system will develop from the south early Wednesday. A rain/snow mix is expected, with the best chances of precipitation Wednesday morning through early Wednesday afternoon. Little to no accumulation is expected. However, if there are some light snowfall accumulations, they wouldn't last long with above freezing air and pavement temperatures. The first map below shows the system moving through around 1pm Wednesday. Not most of the precipitation from this system will be falling over the southern half of the area. Indiana will likely see little, if any precipitation. The next map shows mainly green (rain), but some blue (snow) mixed in. The final map shows the big cold snap on the way for the weekend as the jet stream dives south over the eastern US. Highs will drop to the lower 30s Saturday, with lows in the teens and 20s.
