The Louisville National Weather Service says,
"The coldest March on record in Louisville had an average temperature of 32.5 for the month in 1960. Rounding out the top ten would be 40.0 degrees set back in 1896. Thus far this month, we're currently at 40.1 degrees for an average temperature, which probably puts us at #11(?) but we only have the top ten documented. This will obviously change between now and the end of the month but not by much."
The long range weather models are calling for cool temperatures to continue into the first week of April. We could see a significantly warmer pattern by the second week of April.
