Tuesday night a giant fireball lit up the night sky in Colorado, Utah and Idaho. Witnesses said, "It turned night into day". Officials at the Clark Planetarium, in Salt Lake City, say it was a bolide meteor and was big--between the size of a microwave and washer-dryer unit. The meteorite was traveling at 80,000 mph when it smashed into our atmosphere, creating the huge fireball.
