High pressure keeps the area dry through Sunday. This will aid recovery efforts, and help dry out our saturated ground.
Looking ahead, the big warm-up begins on Sunday. Expect mid-upper 60s Sunday and Monday. Then, we surge to the 70s next Tuesday through Thursday. Mid 70s likely!
So, that 7-day forecast will probably turn out to be the warmest one so far this year!
The warmest temperature so far this winter is 74, that happened on March 2nd, during the tornado outbreak. The last time temps reached above 74, was on November 14th at 76 degrees. The last time we were above 80 was October 16th at 84 degrees.
With all that said, it's been almost five months since we've enjoyed 80+ degree warmth. The good news? The next six months are the warmest six months of the year!
