       Date: Jan 30 2013
 
Begin Point: 3.25 miles east of Elizabeth, Indiana
  End Point: 3.56 miles east of Elizabeth, Indiana

   EF Scale: 0 
 Wind Speed: 65-85mph

Path Length: 0.31 miles
 Path Width: 200 yards


Narrative: An NWS survey team has confirmed an EF0 tornado touch 
down east of Elizabeth in Harrison County, Indiana.  A few buildings 
and barns were damaged along Highway 111.  Trees were down in this 
location as well.  The track of the tornado extended to the Ohio 
River.  NWS survey teams will survey in western Jefferson County, 
Kentucky later today or tomorrow to see if damage occurred on the 
Kentucky side of the Ohio River.

The National Weather Service wants to thank Harrison County 
Emergency Management for their assistance with our storm damage  
assessment.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 MPH
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 MPH
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 MPH
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 MPH
EF4...Violent...166 to 200 MPH
EF5...Violent...>200 MPH
More surveys will be completed today and tomorrow.  The green areas are tornado surveys being done today, the red areas are potential sites for surveys.
