With an official low of 39 (many colder spots outside of Louisville on the map below), this was our coldest morning since April 23rd, and it hasn't been colder since April 12th - that's 181 days ago!

The colder weather is conjuring up thoughts of snow.  Typically, we see our first traces of snow on October 22nd.  However, October 3rd, 1980 was our earliest trace of snow.  The earliest measurable snowfall of 1.40" occurred on October 19th, 1989.  We average only .10" of snow for the month of October.  The largest October snowfall was 2.5" on October 30th, 1925.
