For all those snow lovers, we have another shot at seeing some snow for the start of the workweek. But once again, it doesn’t look like we will get a whole lot. The system is expected to push into the area Monday evening and continue through Tuesday. There are still a lot of uncertainties with this system, but it appears that it will weaken as it pushes in our direction. With the latest cold blast, the initial precipitation should be snow. Warm air quickly spills in and this will change the precipitation over to a wintry mix of rain, sleet and possibly freezing rain. Depending on how quickly the warm air moves in will determine how much snow we will get. As it looks right now, southern Indiana has the best shot at seeing snow (1” or less). South of the river, warmer air seems to stream in a bit quicker with areas only seeing a dusting up to a half inch. If anything does stick, it will melt by afternoon with precipitation changing to all rain.
