Here's a glance at some of our weather highlights this week!
We started off this morning with a few frosty spots and only 2 degrees from hitting the record low of 40 set back in 1997.
It will be about 10 degrees below average today in the mid 60s today, but we're right back to the 80s tomorrow.
Map 1: Wednesday's warmth! Highs in the mid 80s around Kentuckiana. Warm, summer-like air stretches across the southern half of the US.
Map 2: Stalled out front over the region Thursday and Friday. This will trigger hit-or-miss showers and storms late in the workweek. We're on the warm side though with upper 70s and low 80s.
Map 3: Summer-like weather this weekend. This is another map of very warm air all around the region on Sunday. Highs could be in the mid-upper 80s Sunday.
Map 4: Jet stream is well to the north this weekend, and we're on the warm side of it. As long as the jet stream can stay north, our weather pattern will be fairly quiet. When the jet stream dips, that's when we tend to get showers/storms and cooler conditions.
