Are you in desperate need of a warm-up?  Well, I've got some good news.  I've been mentioning this warmer pattern for about a week now, and the models are still on track!

The long-range weather models have been consistently showing a warmer weather pattern change for the middle of next week, beginning around the 19th.

Take a look at the numbers below.  This is from the 16-day GFS weather model, showing a significant warm spell from the 19th to the 22nd.  The model is showing 60s, but this model output is often conservative.   If this warm-up happens, 70s could be possible.

Above is the GFS on February 19th.  Look at the major warm-up east of the Rocky Mountains!

The European weather model is backing up the GFS with a similar warming trend, at the same time.  When both of the models agree, that adds confidence to the long-range forecast.  More hope!

While the warm temperatures will be nice, we may have to pay with wetter weather.  This could turn into an aggressive weather pattern.   Strong warm-ups, may come with strong storms.  Will March come in like a lion?

Always also keep in mind, this is a long-range outlook, and highly subject to change.
