We've only had one hot 7day forecast this summer, and that was in mid July with 8 days in a row in the 90s. Most of our summer has featured below average temperatures and lots of fall-like weather.
The jet stream will be flowing to our north. Remember, the jet stream separates the warm air from cool air. The cool air will be staying north of our area through the rest of the week and weekend.
Take a look at Thursday's high temperatures map, and you can see the heat building across much of the country. The center of the heat wave will be over eastern Texas. Thankfully, we're far enough away we're not talking about extreme heat, but bearable upper 80s and low 90s.
