The411 Update: The University of Kentucky just sent a news release stating that Rondel Sorrillo becomes the first NCAA champion in the 200 meter dash in Kentucky track and field history.  The eight time All-American says in a quote "It really hasn't hit me that I am the 200 meter chanp, the cold weather played a major part in the race, I believe this race could have been a lot faster if the conditions had been favorable.  I am just glad to get the victory."  He ran 20.36 which is his second fastest time.  He actually ran a 20.29 in high school.

Sorrillo is the second all-time at the University of Kentucky with eight All-American honors and reached that major accomplishment in two years.  He achieved those honors faster than anyone in UK history.

The411:  I was just watching the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor National Championship and a University of Kentucky sprinter just won the 200 meter race.  Senior Rondel Sorrillo from UK pulled an upset on the two favorites from the University of Texas.  Sorrillo is now the national outdoor champion for the race.
