Ben and Reed's "Road to the NYC Marathon" 11/03/2011 Update

Ben and Reed's

Champion Marathoner Wesley Korir on the left with his fellow marathoner friend on the right. We just happen to be standing in front of the Tornado Intercept Vehicle. I'm sure there's some symbolism there.

Go figure, right before I participate in the ING NYC Marathon this Sunday, I get to meet a champion marathon runner!

Wesley Korir is a super nice guy and more than happy to share some advice to this novice jogger.  He really did set some things straight for me and correct some of my aweful running techniques.  Thanks Wesley!

That's Wesley on the left in the picture below, and his marathon buddy on the right.  They are both from Kenya, but live in Louisville.

Wesley is a pro marathoner, he's WON the L.A. Marathon two times, and just came in 2nd place in Chicago.  People pay him to be at these events - he's that big!  You can find him featured in Runner's World articles, like this (apparently, he likes SUBWAY).

He also runs for a good cause, the Kenyan Kids Foundation.

While, Wesley wins marathons, I certainly will not, and Dave Letterman tells me why (link below).
