Yarmuth Statement on Shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords

(Louisville, KY) - Today, Congressman John Yarmuth released the following statement after the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords:
 

“This was a shocking and cowardly act of violence against a dedicated public servant and a dear friend. Gabby is a member of our extremely close class of 2006 and we are devastated by this tragic event. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and her staff - as well as with the loved ones of the other innocent victims who were also shot today.

Guthrie Statement on Congresswoman Giffords

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) released the following statement, today, Saturday, January 8, 2011, on the senseless attack on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) and members of her staff today in Tucson, AZ:
 

“I was shocked to learn of the senseless attack today on Congresswoman Giffords. My prayers are with Gabby, her family, her staff, all who were injured, and their families.  
 

“Gabby is a wonderful person who is always extremely friendly and works tirelessly to serve the people of Arizona and the country.”

WASHINGTON (January 8, 2011)

“Congresswoman Giffords is a leader in the House, a force in the Blue Dog Coalition, a strong advocate for her constituents, and I have been proud to call her my friend in Congress.
