LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – U.S. Senator Rand Paul was in Louisville Monday to take part in an economic freedom zone roundtable event.
Paul said Republicans must reach out to groups that the country mistreated and show the party’s compassionate side.
He also said that the GOP cannot be the party of corporate welfare, overspending and government waste.
“I've told the people who support Israel in a big way that the problem is we give in a big way $6 billion dollars to enemies around her and $4 billion to Israel one we have to ask the question where is the money coming from we have a huge deficit and we’re out of money," he said.
The Kentucky Republican is weighing a presidential bid in 2016.
