Texas Rep. Ron Paul, the father of Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and the godfather of the Tea Party movement announced on ABC's Good Morning America (WHAS11) Friday that he will run for the GOP nomination for president in 2012.
It's the third presidential run for the Congressman known on Capitol Hill as “Dr. No," as he attacks government overreach and spending.
U.S. Senator Rand Paul has said that he would not run for the White House if his 75 year old father did.
“Time has come around to the point where the people are agreeing with much of what I’ve been saying for 30 years. So, I think the time is right,” Paul said.
