This, just four days after Fancy Farm. Most of the back and forth has been with Senator Mitch McConnell and primary opponent Matt Bevin.
Wednesday afternoon, McConnell's campaign tweeted a picture. In the picture, Senator Rand Paul, who has endorsed McConnell is quoted as calling McConnell the true conservative.
Some are calling this a war of words over the airwaves between Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Republican Primary Challenger Matt Bevin.
Bevin's camp released a new ad on Wednesday.
The spokesperson for the Bevin campaign released this statement:
"We released this ad to let voters know that Senator McConnell is lobbing false and misleading attacks because he is trying to run away from his record of voting for taxpayer-funded bailouts in Washington."
McConnell's campaign targeted Bevin, focusing on tax liens on his businesses and his vacation home in Maine.
"It's absolutely not the truth. I have letters from the town managers, the two towns in question both stating that it's not the truth, " Bevin, said.
Mitch McConnell's campaign manager released this statement:
"Matt "Bailout" Bevin is wasting his money making misleading and false attacks on Mitch McConnell's strong pro-Kentucky record but he doesn't want anyone to hear about his own record of bailouts and tax delinquency. He can hide behind Obama Democrats who eagerly promote his candidacy, but the reality is that Bailout Bevin is no Kentucky conservative."
