(WHAS11) Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear will be back from his Middle East trip in time for the Fancy Farm Picnic. Beshear has been visiting Kentucky troops in Iraq.
The governor, along with his Republican gubernatorial opponent David Williams, will both be in attendance and both are expected to give speeches at the picnic in Fancy Farm, Kentucky, which is held at Saint Jerome Parish.
The picnic is always held the first Saturday in August and is the kick off to the political season.
