In a new television commercial, Louisville mayoral candidate responds to Jim King's attack ad, saying the fellow Democrat is trying to be the tallest tree in the forest by cutting down the other trees.

Fischer is referring to this commercial from the Jim King campaign:

And, Jim King's campaign put out this news release Thursday afternoon, in response to Fischer's response:

Greg Fischer’s Desperate Attempt to Hide the Facts

His new ad attempts to distract voters and hide from the facts

Dishonest and desperate Greg Fischer is showing his true hypocritical colors again. In his latest TV ad, he attacks Jim King and says that King is not telling the truth. But the facts tell a different story:

1.         Greg Fischer did keep jobs in Indiana – he was caught in his own words saying so:

2.         Greg Fischer did not win the award that he claimed he did:

3.         Greg Fischer did donate money to Republican Anne Northup, not once, but twice when she ran for US Congress:

4.         Greg Fischer has called into question Jim King’s integrity, yet Fischer in his own words just two days ago said he would not go negative. See below for yourself:

“Jim King is a desperate politician who will do or say anything to be mayor.  This is just the type ad I expected of him.  I will not stoop to Jim King's level and will continue to run a positive, issues based campaign because that is what the people of Louisville deserve."
                                                                   - Greg Fischer
Yet another promise dishonest and desperate Greg Fischer has not kept to Louisville’s working families. He’s trying his best to avoid answering these questions. It’s obvious that Fischer will do anything to win elected office, except give an explanation as to why he donates to republicans, why he claims an award he didn’t receive, and why he ships jobs to Indiana.
But the most dishonest part of this episode is that Fischer ran one of the most untruthful and disingenuous campaigns in Kentucky’s history, when he lost the democratic primary for US Senate, just two years ago.
