My gratitude to loyal blog readers, viewers, campaign contacts and my colleagues for your patience and understanding in my absence the last couple of weeks. As I referenced in a previous blog post, my mother, Joyce Arnold, was diagnosed with glioblastoma brain tumor in November. She died on March 27 at a very young 75. Be sure to watch beginning at 5pm on WHAS11 News for the latest poll results in the WHAS11/Courier-Journal Bluegrass poll of likely voters in the U.S. Senate primary contests, now just five weeks away. I will post the poll results on the WHAS11 Political Blog as they are released on air.
The most recent poll from early March had Daniel Mongiardo leading Jack Conway by 18 points in the Democratic Party primary and had Rand Paul ahead by 15 points over Trey Grayson in the Republican primary,
