(WHAS11 Political Blog) -- Actress and potential U.S. Senate candidate Ashley Judd is firing back after a conservative Super PAC released a television ad mocking Judd's residency and support for President Barack Obama.

“Ashley thanks Senator McConnell, Karl Rove, and their negative allies for all the attention as she considers her future political plans, although a decision hasn’t been made yet,” reads a statement from Judd's publicist e-mailed to WHAS11.

The right-leaning group American Crossroads released the ad Wednesday attacking Judd for supporting President Obama and questioning her status as someone allowed to run for the Kentucky senate seat.

This video comes as speculation swirls that Judd is deciding if she should run against Mitch McConnell for his U.S. Senate seat.

The ad, which is filled with sarcasm and made to look like a campaign ad Judd would produce, uses quotes from the actress showing her full support for Obama calling the President a "brilliant man" who is now able to "flower more." The ad also uses a quote from her calling Tennessee home, not Kentucky where she is required to have residency to run for Senate.
